BNG Trading commenced operations in 1924 and is the oldest and largest importer, distributor, marketer of grocery products in PNG. The company has a wide range of products covering food, beverage, health & beauty and non-food items. BNG Trading represent some of the largest multi-national consumer companies in the world including Unilever (Rexona, Signal, Lux, Sunsilk, Continental, Flora, Omo, Lipton); Lion D&D (Berri Juice, Just Juice); General Mills (Betty Crocker, Old El Paso); Wrigley (Juice Fruit, Big Boy, PK); Mitsui/Kerr Bros (777 canned mackerel); Soltai (Solomon Blue tuna); Iffco (Tiffany biscuits); Kikkoman; Pepsico (Blue Bird snacks) and Energizer (Eveready batteries).

 In addition to these well-known international brands, the company has also developed and launched a diverse range of its own private label brands over a number of years such as the Fabulous range of tinned meat & fish products, Peanutter peanut butter, Kleen-it dishwashing paste and steel wool, Barons tomato sauce and canned vegetables, Highland Dairy milk products, Kokoda Kanteen water, Bushells tea, Somerset Jams and Bakery Delights flour.

BNG Trading has also established itself as the leading supplier to the Bakery and Foodservice sectors in PNG, through the distributorships of the Sinmag range of Bakery equipment, Bakels ingredients, Peerless shortenings and the provision of BNG’s own brand of bread pre-mixes and yeast. The company has two bakery development centres in Port Moresby and Lae and employs three master bakers who provide on-site training as well as full technical support to the baking industry throughout the country.
