Lipton to sponsor Biggest Morning Tea 2014

The Papua New Guinea Cancer Foundation (PNGCF), together with BNG Trading, are proud to announce Lipton as the Major Sponsor of this year’s Biggest Morning Tea campaign.

Today PNG Cancer Foundation CEO Mr. Dadi Toka Jr facilitated the signing of the tea company for the Biggest Morning Tea sponsorship with BNG Trading Group Marketing Manager, Mr Simon Winchester. Lipton have pledged K40,000 to the event, this event runs for the month of May and raises funds for PNGCF in support of awareness, prevention and screening for Oral Cancer in PNG.

Mr Toka today said “This represents a generous commitment by our new major sponsor which we hope will set the tone for the rest of the Biggest Morning Tea. The support of companies like Unilever (owners of the Lipton brand) and BNG Trading is so important to the work we are doing. This campaign is one of the most significant fundraising events in the PNG Cancer Foundation events and programs calendar and we invite everyone to help make our inaugural year a successful one.”

The Biggest Morning Tea runs throughout May. The campaign invites community groups such as schools, corporate groups and businesses to host morning tea in order to raise donations. Any organisation can contact the PNGCF to register to host a morning tea, and there is no fee for registration. This is the first year the Biggest Morning Tea will be held under the banner of the PNGCF.
